Tinker Bell Half: Food for Thought

runDisney has been making a lot of great changes this year, especially with adding new races. They've been adding the 10k distance like crazy to their event rosters: the Disneyland Half weekend added a 10k and the Dumbo Double Dare Challenge, WDW Marathon added the Minnie 10k and made the Dopey Challenge official (5k + 10k + half + full), and the Princess Half weekend added the Enchanted 10k and Glass Slipper Challenge.

There have been rumors of a 10k being added to the Tinker Bell Half weekend. When I read this blog post by Longhorns, I knew I had to do some of my own research. But you still heard/read from her first! (On a side note, her blog is pretty awesome. You should definitely check it out!)

I did a little googling and found these. Among them a $175 price tag for the Tink Half.
This is last year's Tink page on Active:

This is what I found for this year. Notice anything different about the date(s)?

Look similar to Fri-Sun dates for Dumbo?

Obviously there would be no deferred link for a Tink 10k since it wasn't offered last year. The new date range has really got me curious.

Of course this is all speculation. If you have any ideas or insight, please weigh in!

  1. That is some good searching, sleuth! I'm curious about the dates too! Are they already including Friday because of Expo? Wine and Dine includes the expo date as well (Nov 8-9, but all races are on the 9th) hmmmmm... time will tell!

  5. As if Tink wasn't already popular enough, they had to add the pink C2C. And if they add a 10k... I might have to renew my annual pass or get a Disney visa to get early registration! Eeek!

  6. As awesome as a Disney Visa would be, there is an annual fee of like $50...absolutely ridiculous in my opinion!

  7. They have a premier and basic version of the card- the basic has no annual fee and you can still earn rewards! :)

  8. This would be awesome...BUT...my program from last year's tink (2013) shows it as a 3-day event (Jan 18-20). I hope they're not playing mind games with us! :-)
