Tink Tuesday: T-15 Weeks


We're another week closer to the Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend! Exactly 100 days until I leave on my trip! I am so very excited for this race weekend since it's also a girls vacation for me. But I really need to get back into my training. I heard there's supposed to be some running. ;) The main race, or races I should say, that I'm training for is the Tinker Bell half marathon. I'm also walking the 5k and running the 10k. For those of you who have done runDisney 5ks, do they enforce the 16 min/mile time pretty closely? Some say they don't, but I do want to be prepared to have to speed walk if need be.

Tues: 1 mile
Wed: strength rest
Thurs: rest
Fri: 1 mile
Sat: strength rest
Sun: 3.1 miles
Mon: strength

I've been feeling a bit under the weather lately and now it's a full blown cold. I was hoping that I wouldn't be all stuffed up and could still run, but no luck so far. :/ I'm running a 10k in less than 2 weeks, one that I hope to run in under an hour so I can use it to move up a corral for Tink. My 5k on Sunday was pretty good, but I'm not holding out too much hope since I can't run right now. :/

Do you still try to run when you're sick? Or do you wait it out?

  1. Oh no, feel better soon! Especially since I know that 10K time goal is important for you!

    If I am sick, I usually take it easy, or do a lot more walking rather than running.
